Inter Milan will not have to make a major reshuffle

Inter Milan will not have to make a major reshuffle of the squad according to manager Roberto Mancini, who has done an exceedingly well job in the first few months of the season according to many critics.

The former Manchester City boss took over at the club when they were struggling to even qualify for the Champions League. However, Mancini has transformed the team into a title challenge in outfit once again. Of course, a lot of money has been spent in the process, but Inter will be more than happy to be in this situation.

JUVE START SLOWLY

Juventus are in danger of conceding the Italian Serie A title for the first time in more than four years. The team has been champions since the winning run began in the 2011-12 season.

Inter Milan went on a similar run of five straight league titles before failing to even qualify for the Champions League. Juventus are going through a similar spell after the loss of important players in the summer.

Inter Milan secured a third consecutive victory

Inter Milan secured a third consecutive victory in the league after managing to overcome Torino.

Inter Milan may sign Glen Johnson and Fabio Borini

As each day passes by and the January transfer window edges closer and closer, more and more rumors start to emerge linking certain players with a number of different clubs around the world, some of those rumors are shut down and disappear soon while others continue being spread around and one of those is Inter Milan being interested in signing Liverpool’s Glen Johnson and Fabio Borini.

Mazzarri Looking To Strengthen Inter Milan

Inter Milan manager Walter Mazzarri has revealed that he will be looking to strengthen the team primarily on the defensive midfield position. Inter come on the back of a very disappointing season in which they once again failed to qualify for the Champions League. However, they are expected to strengthen the team in several areas of the pitch in order to finally return to the top European competition. They have already secure the signing of Nemanja Vidic from Manchester United on a free transfer. They have also been linked with the likes of Fernando Torres as well.

Jonathan Believes Club Should Not Part With Mazzarri

Inter Milan defender Jonathan has stated that the club should not part company with manager Walter Mazzarri. The manager came from Napoli with a reputation of achieving a lot of success with limited funds at his disposal. Things were extremely rosy in the first half of the season when Inter looked like returning back to Champions League football and even returning to the top of the table. However, the second half of the season has been extremely poor, as the club has been drawing their way to the finish. Prior to the final game of the season, Inter look set to finish in the fifth place.

INTER MILAN LOOKING FOR STRONG FINISH

Inter Milan has said that there will be looking to end the season strongly and get over their disappointments thus.

Inter fell 2-1 at Schalke on Wednesday night and lost the quarter-final 7-3 on aggregate, thus dashing the club's hopes of defending its European title.

"I had dreamed about a great comeback," Inter coach Leonardo said. "Of course we could have done better but we failed to do so.

INTER MILAN TO SHOW THEIR GAME

Inter Milan fullback Douglas Maicon has said that he is confident that they will bounce back in the league. Leonardo's side lost 1-0 to Juventus in the Derby d'Italia, but came close to equalising when Samuel Eto'o hit the bar after 89 minutes.

“They deserved the victory, but we pushed until the end and in the second half we massacred them, forcing Juventus to play in their own half even with 10 men behind the ball,” Maicon said.

INTER NOT READY TO DROP MAICON PRICE

Inter Milan have categorically said that they are not willing to drop the price for Brazilian right-back, Maicon. Yesterday, it was reported that Real Madrid issued an ultimatum to Inter saying that their final offer for the defender is €22 million and they won’t pay anything above that. Inter Milan have reportedly rejected Madrid’s ultimatum.

Maicon’s agent Antonio Caliendo has said “If things don’t improve between both the clubs then Maicon will stay with Inter. He is not in any hurry to leave the European Champions.”

INTER MILAN IN FOR BENITEZ

Italian football giants Inter Milan have reportedly established contacts with Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez.

Inter Milan made their move at the weekend, just when everyone thought they were chasing England manager Fabio Capello.

"Inter have been happy for everyone to think they want Capello as it's taken everyone's attention away from Benitez," The Sun quoted an Italian source, as saying.

The Italian team hopes to cash in on the uncertainty over Benitez's position as Liverpool manager, as it is being speculated that Capello wants to see out his England contract until after Euro 2012.
