INTER MILAN TO LURE CONTE FROM CHELSEA

Serie A side Inter Milan are hoping to lure Chelsea manager Antonio Conte back to Italy.

The club is reportedly offering up to £10 million per year to the Italian coach for a return this summer. Despite a successful season with Chelsea, reports say Conte is still unsettled in England. This is fuelling doubts that Conte would stay at Stamford Bridge for long.

After Tottenham Hotspur’s shock defeat in the hands of West Ham United on Friday, Conte has very much won the Premier League title in his debut season. The Blues are set to face Arsenal in the final of the FA Cup and they are the favourites to win and complete the double.

Sources in England reported that Inter have privately approached the coach, offering him eight figures in annual wages if he agree to join them. Inter would also offer him a big transfer budget so he could build a team of his choice and return the club to winning ways.

There are reports that Chelsea could lose its top striker in Diego Costa to China and that the Spaniard has even signed a pre contract. Playmaker Eden Hazard isyet to sign a new deal, with reports claiming Real Madrid want him this summer.

Conte himself is yet to agree an extension to his deal, letting doubts over his future continue. If he agrees, then there is a lot of work to get his players to stay, get more and defend their recent successes. With Chelsea returning to the Champions League, while battling to defend the Premier League and possibly the FA Cup, it would be a stern test for Conte. It is one that could make him a coaching legend or mar him very quickly.
