INTER MILAN MOVE UP IN SERIE A

Serie A giant Inter Milan have moved up in the league standings after their 3-0 victory over Pescara.

The win over the bottom-of-the-table outfit becomes the club’s seventh consecutive Serie A victory this season.

On the other hand, Lazio could not continue the pressure on the top three after they lost their match 1-0 to Chievo. They played the same day as Inter but crashed at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday. Lazio had started the game well, dominating chances but they could not convert their chances against Chievo. They suffered the consequence when Roberto Inglese got a late winner in the final minute of regular time.

Simone Inzaghi would not be happy with the results as they failed to consolidate their previous win over Fiorentina. The results leaves them eight points from Juventus. Chievo’s stunning victory has seen them rise to the top half of the standings.

Inter Milan fought hard as they were keen on retaining their record when they faced the visitors. Danilo D’Ambrosio opened scoring at the San Siro. Portuguese star Joao Mario got the second before the referee called time on the first half. After the break Eder came on to get the last goal of the game in the 73rd minute.

The club sporting director Piero Ausilio recently opened up about selling Philippe Coutinho to Liverpool in 2013. He said that in his 20 years at Inter, selling the Coutinho was “one of [his greatest regrets.”

The Brazilian left San Siro for just £8.5 million but he has quickly grown to be one of the most prized possessions of the Merseyside. He recently agreed to a new five-year deal amid serious interests to the biggest clubs in Europe.
