Inter Milan will not have to make a major reshuffle

Inter Milan will not have to make a major reshuffle of the squad according to manager Roberto Mancini, who has done an exceedingly well job in the first few months of the season according to many critics.

The former Manchester City boss took over at the club when they were struggling to even qualify for the Champions League. However, Mancini has transformed the team into a title challenge in outfit once again. Of course, a lot of money has been spent in the process, but Inter will be more than happy to be in this situation.

Some of the players signed in the previous January transfer window included Lukas Podolski and Xherdan Shaqiri. They did not enjoy much success at the San Siro. In fact, Xherdan Shaqiri left the club shortly afterwards and joined Stoke City. It has often been regarded that January transfers rarely succeed and this has been another example of the same. Hence, it has been rumoured that Inter Milan will experience a quiet transfer window rather than try and stay in competition for the title. Mancini has now confirmed that the club are not expected to spend a lot of money in the coming window. They are top of the table with a four-point advantage over second placed Fiorentina.

"I don't think we need to do anything, but we do need to consider if there are players who want to move on so they can play more. I don't know if Montoya will leave in January. He's played and shown he's up to the task... It's up to him if he wants to accept this situation or look somewhere else where he might play more regularly,” said Mancini. Titleholders Juventus are seven points behind Inter Milan and it looks like a race is on once again.
