The vice president of the club was optimistic about it when he made the promise stating that the next few years to come, will see Inter Milan return to the top of Italian football after a number of struggles over the years past.

Javier Zanetti, who during his time as a player with Inter, made 858 appearances for the club, is currently at the top of the all-time list for most games played.

Zanetti has promised that Inter Milan will return to the top of Italian football after struggling for a number of years. Zanetti played for Inter for about 19 years and retired in 2014, while his number four shirt was equally retired as well

In 2010, Inter had won the Champions League, Serie A and FIFA Club World Cup. But since then, Inter seems to be stuck and have failed to push on. They have been trophy-less ever since, but Zanetti has much confidence in the club's ability to make headway and uphold a bright future.

This was his opinion which he told Radio Rai after the arrival of the Chinese investors, Suning.
"Suning are an important group and have a strong desire to invest," he told Radio Rai. "For Inter, there will be a bright future. We are all working to bring Inter back to the top where, the club deserves to be."

"In Italy, I think other foreign investors will come, with the way the league is now. Suning are going to make changes to the stadium and build new facilities for the youth sector. Our kids are important and we want them to dream of a debut in the first team."

So far, Inter has been able to record three wins in this campaign and are currently holding the third position on the table, four points behind Juventus, who are the table leaders.
