NO MOURA BID

The Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has said that his club will not be able to compete with PSG when it comes to securing the signing of the highly rated Brazilian youngster Lucas Mora. They have also been linked with Gareth Bale but that's looking increasingly unlikely too.

The oil billionaire has said that the French club has offered Santos € 40 million for the player, which is € 15 million more than the offer submitted by the Italian club. PSG have become the undisputed king in the transfer window after the arrival of the Qatari owners. They have spent large sums of money in securing the players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva.

The 19-year-old Lucas Mora is one of the highly rated youngsters in Brazil and is also thought of as the next big thing from the South American continent. He is a fast midfielder who has impressed with the Brazilian national team at the London Olympics 2012. Chelsea, Manchester United and Inter Milan were the high-profile clubs interested in securing his services a month ago. However, only Inter Milan remained in the hunt for the player due to the excessive transfer fee demanded by his club Santos. It seems that even Inter Milan have been blown out of the water by the French club PSG, who have offered € 45 million according to the Inter Milan president.

"We would never have gone up to that sum. In any case, there are no regrets that we didn't finish off the move, as the cost was already pretty high a few days ago. The €45 million that PSG offered is completely illogical and for us it would have been very out of key with our approach. PSG are starting a new era, so they are completely reconstructing the squad. At least I can relish the fact I'm saving money," Moratti told Sky Sport Italia.
